THE ULTIMATE
There is no doubt that sea levels are rising as a result of global warming. Sea levels are rising because Earth's temperature is constantly rising. Since 1880, Earth's temperature has risen by 1.4 degrees Fahrenheit. It doesn't seem like much, but it is. The main reasons the earth's temperature is rising is because humans are burning coal, burning oil, and cutting down tropical forests. These actions give off greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide, which traps heat from the sun and warms our planet. As a result, land ice, glaciers, ice caps, and ice sheets are melting away and dumping more water into the oceans. In conclusion, major greenhouse gases are the primary reason why the earth is warming, which leads to rising sea levels. Below are the differences in 5 year temperature anamolies in 1880 and 2014.
